Special tool for pressing off the charge air system.
The charge air system can easily be checked for leaks. One tool part is mounted before the throttle valve, the other directly after the charger/compressor. This allows the system as a whole to be pressurised and a leak to be located on the HVAC or on hose/pipe connections. The pressure plugs have 3 different diameters of 50, 60 and 70mm each and can therefore be used in all common charge air ducts. As the charge air hoses are flexible, intermediate sizes are no problem.
During the work, make sure that the pressure on the compressor is turned down. A working pressure which corresponds to the normal boost pressure + 0.5 bar is completely sufficient!
The tool kit is suitable for all supercharged engines, whether with G40, G60 or G65 G-supercharger, turbo or supercharger.
