New reinforced release lever for the 02A and 02J transmissions which are installed in the G60, VR6, 2L 16V, GTI, TDI, Corrado, Golf 2, 3 and Passat.
When using reinforced pressure plates the original release lever reaches the limits of its load capacity and can bend or in the worst case even break. By welding the reinforcement plates to the weak points the stability is significantly increased. Sport clutches can therefore be installed without any problems.
The reinforcing plates are welded into new release levers using the TIG process. The complete release lever is then galvanised.
